We want you to feel confident trying DunningKit. That’s why every new account starts with a free trial — and annual plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee. This policy explains exactly what to expect.

14-Day Free Trial

Every new DunningKit account starts with a 14-day free trial with full access to all features on your chosen plan. No credit card is required to start.

  • No charge during the trial: You will not be billed for anything during the 14-day period.
  • Cancel before trial ends: If you cancel at any point before the trial ends, your card is never charged. You’ll receive a reminder email 3 days before the trial expires.
  • Trial expiry: If you don’t cancel, your subscription begins automatically on day 15 at the monthly or annual rate for your selected plan.
  • Data after trial expiry without subscription: If your trial expires and you don’t subscribe, your account enters a read-only state. Your data is retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted.

Monthly Plans

Monthly subscriptions (Starter $19/mo, Pro $49/mo, Agency $99/mo) are billed on a recurring calendar-month basis.

  • No prorated refunds: The current billing period is non-refundable. If you paid $49 on March 1 and cancel on March 10, you will not receive a refund for the remaining 21 days.
  • Cancel anytime: You can cancel from Settings → Billing at any time. Your plan remains active until the end of the current paid period. You will not be billed for any future periods after cancellation.
  • Downgrade: Downgrading to a lower plan takes effect at the start of your next billing period. No refund is issued for the difference in the current period.
  • Upgrade: Upgrading mid-cycle is charged on a prorated basis — you pay only for the days remaining on the new plan within the current cycle.

Exception: If your subscription failed to deliver core service functionality (e.g., failed payment webhooks were not processed, or retries did not execute) due to a bug on our side, we will issue a prorated credit for the affected period. Contact us within 14 days of the incident.


Annual Plans

Annual subscriptions (Starter $180/yr, Pro $468/yr, Agency $948/yr) are billed as a single upfront payment and include a 20% discount compared to monthly billing.

  • 30-day money-back guarantee: If you are not satisfied with DunningKit for any reason within the first 30 days of your annual subscription, contact us at support@dunningkit.com and we will issue a full refund with no questions asked.
  • After 30 days: Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after the 30-day window. You may cancel at any time, and your plan will remain active until the end of your annual period.
  • Upgrade: If you upgrade from an annual Starter to annual Pro (or Pro to Agency) within your annual period, we charge the prorated difference for the remaining months on the new plan, minus any remaining credit from the current plan.
  • Downgrade: You cannot downgrade an annual plan mid-cycle. You may set a downgrade to take effect at renewal.

Exceptions & Service Credits

We stand behind the reliability of DunningKit. If we fail to deliver, we make it right:

Service outage (> 4 hours/month)

If DunningKit experiences an unplanned outage exceeding 4 cumulative hours in a single calendar month that prevents payment retries or email sends, we will issue a prorated service credit for that month. Credits are applied to your next billing cycle.

Webhook processing failure

If a documented bug caused missed payment failure events (payments not appearing in DunningKit despite being processed by Stripe), we will issue a credit equivalent to the plan fee for the affected days and investigate + fix the root cause within 48 hours.

Double billing

If you are charged twice in the same billing period due to a technical error, we will immediately refund the duplicate charge to your original payment method. Response within 1 business day guaranteed.

Claims for service credits must be submitted within 14 days of the incident via email to support@dunningkit.com with the subject “Service Credit Request.” Include the date range and a brief description of the issue.


Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances:

  • Accounts terminated for ToS violations: Accounts suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service (spam, fraud, misuse) are not eligible for refunds.
  • Annual subscriptions after day 30: Once the 30-day money-back window has passed, annual subscription payments are non-refundable.
  • Add-ons or one-time purchases (if introduced in the future) are non-refundable unless defective.
  • Refunds based on recovery outcomes: We do not offer refunds because recovery rates were lower than expected. Recovery outcomes depend on many factors outside our control (customer payment behavior, card issuers, Stripe availability). We provide expected benchmarks, not guarantees.
  • Startup / promotional discounts: Accounts on special pricing are not eligible for refunds once the promotional period has started.

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Stripe processes returns in 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
